Every child and student at Timberline is unique! We see many different needs in our young people. The need to belong is one of the most important. That’s why we have the Buddy Ministry. It’s our way of helping those with special needs and their families to belong.
Buddy Ministry Vision
The Buddy Ministry exists to help children and students with special needs access our programs and ministries, while growing in a relationship with Christ in a safe and accepting environment and empowering caregivers to do the same.
Buddy Ministry helps every child and student to participate.
We meet your family and learn how we can serve you.
As we adapt to meet your family and your child’s needs, we collaborate on strategies for their success, prepare teachers, and perhaps pair your child with a Church Buddy who helps them participate.
We continue the relationship with your family as long as it’s helpful for your child’s growth and development.
We have served families with children of all special needs: behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and physical.
Our team of Church Buddies at Timberline consists of former educators with experience in working with special needs children, special needs parents and other caring adults, all of whom have completed a training class and passed both a Washington State Patrol and Federal Background Check. Whatever your child’s needs; we will partner with you, so your entire family has a great experience at church.
